What is a "web-based system"?
When we say Site Caddy is a "web-based system", we mean that you do not need to install any software on your computer to use the system.  You use Site Caddy as you would use any web site: all you need is an Internet connection and a recent version of a popular web browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or Firefox.  In fact, if you know how to surf the web, then you know how to use Site Caddy.  And every time you log on to Site Caddy, you have access to all of our latest news and features.  No upgrades to install- ever.

What is SMS Text Messaging?

SMS stands for Short Message Service.  It's a powerful technology that people use to send short text messages from a phone or computer to a wireless phone.  SMS has been exploding around the world, in large part because the messages are sent and received almost instantly.  For golfers, these messages are great for urgent messages such as course closures due to bad weather, reminders of club events, and any other news that you want to make sure your members know about.

SMS messages are very cost effective compared to traditional forms of marketing and communication, and billions of them are sent every day.  Most of your members already have wireless phones and use SMS, according to the latest studies.  To learn more about Site Caddy and SMS, click here.

What is a content management system?

A content management system, or CMS, is a system used to manage a web site.  Typically, it helps non-technical users to make changes to a web site, as well as uploading new photos and documents.

Site Caddy is an example of a CMS, but it is also much more.  Site Caddy's powerful messaging features make it a complete communications tool for golfers.  And Site Caddy can be used in place of a web site by smaller clubs and societies.  So what is Site Caddy?  It's a tool that helps your golf club harness the power of the Internet.

Where can I find help?
The Site Caddy system is fully supported, and our team offer 24 Hour e-mail support for any questions, suggestions or technical issues you may have.  Site Caddy also includes comprehensive documentation online, but most find the system so easy to use they just dive right in.
